If you are using a USB cable to connect the printer and Mac PC, ensure that this is securely connected to either port. Furthermore, make sure that USB 2.0 cable is used for this, and that the distance from the computer to printer is less than 6 feet. If you are not able to print with the USB connection, but a wireless connection works, it is likely a third-party printer driver conflict that is causing the issue.
